Crazy Busy!! | Tacoma Baby Photo
Things have been upside down around here!!! If you’ve been to my website recently, you’ve noticed there are a lot of links that go no where. That’s because have had literally ZERO time to finish my web page. I know I should just break down and hire someone, but the last guy didn’t work out and…we’ll I haven’t had time to find a new guy….LOL.
Seriously though, all of my apologies for late previews!!! I know a hand full of you are itching to see the work!! I recently upgraded to CS3 which means that 4 week window should be cut in 1/2 starting in January.
Saturday night we took over the Seattle Hilton for a beautiful wedding!! Kim at Vivid Images came with to help me photograph the event!!
Tomorrow is the “Baby in Pumpkin” shoot at my mini studio (It’s going to be a busy day!!!). Wednesday I’m shooting at the Conservatory. I’m also still gearing up for Tacoma Opera’s Annual Silent Auction, which I’m thrilled about, but also nervous!!!
For those of you getting previews tonight, Meg is first because she’s been SO SO wonderfully patient with me!!!

The passed few weeks have been the most stressful few weeks I’ve had in a REALLY long time. I won’t bore you with TOO many details, but it has a lot to do with business stuff. Most recently it was my computer crashing while my external drive was plugged in, thus erasing many many MANY photos. Luckily most of them were personal photos. I was a little sad….but my kids have more photos than most normal kids….even in this digital era, so not really that sad. Not so lucky are the handful of family photos and first birthday photos that have gone missing…..photos that weren’t my own. I went through the gamit; * panic, cringe, tear up and stuff my face full of fortune cookies.* After about 20 cookies I gave in to the fact that I probably wasn’t going to get a fortune that said ” You can find your missing photos in folder xyz.”
The silver lining is that of the family photos that are missing, I still have 150 that aren’t missing….although my heart aches for the ones I can’t find because they were SO good and the family won’t get to enjoy them. It literally almost makes me cry. The other silver lining is that the birthday portraits were already burned and on a CD….those were the really important hang on the wall ones. The rest of the birthday chaos is in some computer black hole.
So as I was sitting at my computer about to have my fourth photo related breakdown in two weeks, I was desperate not to let it consume me! So I had to take my self back to the happy place. The Phillies won game one….good. Actually there are lots and lots of good things going on….I’m just overwhelmed with the things I can change or control.
I’ll channel a little Susan and say “Hey Cosmos, WTF??” When I said ” I really need to get some of these freakin’ photos of my hard drive, I didn’t mean that they should just disappear.

You’re probably thinking why on earth does Baby Sophia get so many sample pictures???
For starters, Baby Sophia is – 1 week today. Yes, you read that correctly -1 week. Her due date was October 13th….(I think….something close to that…). So you have got to give this girl some credit She arrived 5 weeks early and has managed to get her weight up to 6lbs!!! Second to that, I think I met Sophia’s dad when I was in high school. He was (is) one of my older brother’s good college friends and room mate….college room mate, not current room mate…..that would just be weird. LOL.
Do you need any more reasons? ; )…..well if you do, she’s just ADORABLE!!! (as you can see for your selves!)
